A cross cutter mainly consists of a power system, a paper feed mechanism, a measuring system, a cutting mechanism, and a control system. Its working principle is as follows: the continuous stream of corrugated board is smoothly fed in by the feed rollers. The measuring system (typically using rotary encoders or servo systems) tracks the traveling length of the board in real time. When the board reaches the preset cutting length, the control system instantly issues a command to drive the cutting blade (usually a rotating knife roller) to execute a high-speed transverse cut across the board. Modern high-speed cross cutters employ servo drive technology, achieving extremely high cutting accuracy (typically with an error within ±1 mm) and fast production cycles, perfectly matching the speed of high-speed corrugated board production lines.
